A Derbyshire data science company which provides machine learning for businesses has told TheBusinessDesk.com it will create 50 jobs over the next three years as it embarks on an ambitous growth strategy.

Peak Indicators, which has its head office in Chesterfield, can count HSBC, AstraZeneca, Legal & General, Nomura, Schneider Electric and GO Outdoors as clients which use data to their advantage and explore cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning and AI.

Now, Peak Indicators is investing in groundbreaking technology and developing the next generation of data science and AI experts through its pioneering graduate and apprenticeship schemes.

Kenneth Neilson, managing director of Peak Indicators says is targeting other sectors such as the public sector as he plots the next phase of the company’s growth.

Neilson said: “We’re on a mission to show that data can be a force for good and our three year plan involves doubling our staff numbers.

“We bought our office in Chesterfield last year and we have plenty of room to grow. We’re going to repurpose the space as we realise not as many people will be working in the office at the same time as before the pandemic. We’ll be adapting to what is now the new normal.”

“This year has been tough for so many businesses, but I’m pleased to say that we’ve not really suffered at all. We’ve found that companies are still spending – they’re just choosing where they spend more carefully.
