On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Tanya Day, Demi Smith-Ward, Stephen Nicholls, Qurat Choudhary, Laura Sergeant

Leicestershire accountancy firm Rowleys has made six new appointments.

Steve Nicholls joins as associate director in the firm’s tax department, while Tanya Day brings 20 years of experience to head up the medical accounting and tax team.

Meanwhile, other new recruits include Laura Sergeant, Qurat Choudhary, Aanya Pamsi and Demi Smith-Ward.

Nicholls said: “My passion is helping our clients grow by giving them all the tax and business advice they need. Whether times are good or times are bad, whether they’re in the earliest stages or about to expand, my job is simple. To give them clear, relevant and – more than anything – commercially focussed tax advice.”

Day added: ““After 20 years in the medical sector, half of which was as a partner in a specialist medical accountancy firm, the opportunity to manage such a well-regarded medical team and make full use of what I’ve learned to help Rowleys achieve the growth they want, was an exciting job offer I just had to accept.”

Samantha Morley, Francesca McCann, Izabella Edwards, Priya Sachania and Bekki Mason

Chesterfield-based Edwards Employment Solutions has appointed four new members of staff.

Priya Sachania, Bekki Mason, Francesca McCann and Samantha Morley have all joined the business following a significant contract win to recruit 300 new starters at a large call centre.

Call centre recruitment specialist, Samantha Morley has been appointed to manage the new contract. She said: “As well as extensive recruitment experience, I have also previously worked in a call centre myself as an inbound agent giving me an excellent understanding of the roles available and the opportunities for progression within the industry.”
