New finance chief for car retailer

Derby-based car retailer Motorpoint has appointed a new finance boss.

Chris Morgan will join the company as chief financial officer and board member from 11 January 2021.

Morgan was formerly group finance director at Speedy Hire and brings a wealth of multi-site retail, financial and listed company experience. Prior to this, he held senior finance leadership positions at Go Outdoors and Tesco.

Mark Carpenter, chief executive of Motorpoint, said: “I am delighted that Chris will be joining our executive team in January. Chris brings to the company substantial financial and operational experience from the retail sector and I look forward to working with him as we continue to deliver on Motorpoint’s growth strategy.
