Deloitte launches assurance hub team

Deloitte in the Midlands has launched a regional assurance hub which provides a range of assurance services to help SMEs and larger corporates across the region.

The hub is made up of a 10-strong team responsible for supporting companies at all stages in their lifecycle. Deloitte aims to double the size of this team in the next two years and grow its client base significantly.

The team, which operates across East and West Midlands, will be supporting businesses by offering complex accounting services, supporting transactional activity and helping corporates enhance their control environments.

The hub has already provided services across a range of sectors and industries, including supporting on the development of complex impairment models and supporting technical accounting aspects of transactional M&A activity.

It is also providing accounting services to a number of businesses, including providing support on complex accounting matters and transactions.

The team has also been helping corporates address COVID-19 specific technical accounting complexities and providing resource to support resource constrained finance teams.

The Midlands has been pinpointed by Deloitte as the second region for an assurance hub outside London, following the launch of a specialist centre in the North West. It is being led by Deloitte partner Manmeet Kalsi and director Joe Darby.
