Magpies post profits of almost £4m

Meadow Lane, home of Notts County

Notts County have posted a profit of almost £4m for the year-ending June 30 – a figure almost unheard of for a non-League club.

Latest accounts posted at Companies House show that the Meadow Lane club made a surplus of £3.9m over the 12 month period

The Magpies have also managed to reduce what they owe to creditors from £11.3m to £8.5m.

However, the accounts show that the firm owes almost £8m to companies either controlled or related to its new owners, which are headed by the Reedtz brothers, who took over the club in July last year from outgoing owner Alan Hardy.

Notts are currently playing their second season in the Vanarama National League. They sit in third place, nine points off automatic promotion.
