Nelsons has promoted five employees to legal director and senior associate roles.

Craig Staten-Spencer, Melanie Morton, Claire McLeod, and Lewis Hastie have been promoted to legal director, while Nicola Clarke has been promoted to senior associate.

Nelsons chief executive Stewart Vandermark said: “These new senior roles recognise individuals with excellent expertise in their field. Craig, Melanie, Claire, Lewis and Nicola are valuable members of the Nelsons team and are very deserving of their promotions. Their development while at Nelsons has been exceptional and I am delighted to congratulate them on attaining their more senior roles at our Nottingham office.”

Amy Bowden

Property consultancy Fisher German has announced a trio of senior promotions at its Ashby office.

Amy Bowden, who is part of the National Development Team, has been promoted to senior development surveyor.

Ben Minns, who works in Fisher German’s rural sector and is increasingly focusing on mineral and waste clients and the firm’s growing Minerals Service Line, has progressed to senior surveyor.

Tamsin Warr, who is part of the firm’s rural sector and works on behalf of Tarmac, has also been promoted to senior surveyor.

Tim Shuldham, senior partner at Fisher German, said: “I would like to congratulate Amy, Ben and Tamsin on their well-deserved promotions which highlight the quality, capability and commitment of the people rising through the ranks of the business.”

Velez Managed Services, the Derby IT maintenance firm, has appointed Matthew Barnsley as head of marketing.

Barnsley joins the team following several years of senior level marketing experience, working in the UK and overseas.
