Plans revealed for 190,000 sq ft speculative industrial and office scheme

How the scheme would look

Plans have been revealed for a 190,000 sq ft warehouse and office complex on Dove Valley Park (DVP).

Clowes Developments have submitted a planning application for a two-phase, speculatively-built unit of 150,000 sq ft with the option for a further 40,000 sq ft of space at the Foston, Derbyshire site.

Paul Shanley, director at Clowes, said: ““With over 1,200 people employed on DVP and demand for ‘big sheds’ breaking new records, we are pleased to be going forward with the next development providing flexibility for occupiers in both size and tenure.

“DVP is now a well-established Business Park attracting household names. We are currently negotiating another large deal on the site which will further enhance DVP’s reputation as South Derbyshire’s premier employment site – watch this space.”

Agent Stephen Salloway, director at Salloway Property Consultants, and Nick Waddington, director at MWRE, added: “There is little doubt that this will be well received in the marketplace and subject to planning permission being granted in timely fashion, occupiers will be in a position to take possession of the unit by the end of the year.”
