Gilliver joined McCann as commercial manager in October 2019 after previously occupying the same position at Galliford Try.

Steve Price, director of health, safety and security, with managing director Andrew Byrne at DFDS Seaways UK

DFDS Seaways of Immingham has welcomed a new member to its senior management team.

Steve Price joins the shipping giant from Norwegian oil and gas company Gassco, where he was UK operations manager for four years.

Price will lead a 40-strong team and be responsible for all safety and security operations at the company’s Immingham site as well as managing health and well-being for the company’s 450 employees.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining the DFDS Seaways team at an exciting time for the company. Having previously worked in a variety of industries including oil and gas, construction and major projects I have quite a diverse career background and I’m looking forward to bringing those experiences into my new role at DFDS.”

Bradley Nightingale, Michael King, Neville Gunn, Megan Sneath, and Peter Watson

Daltons Wadkin, the Nottingham distributor and manufacturer of industrial woodworking machinery, has grown its team by five.

The Nottingham-based business, which was established in 1901, has appointed Megan Sneath (service administrator), Bradley Nightingale (CNC support engineer), Peter Watson (operator training), Neville Gunn (warehouse operator) and Michael King (workshop fitter).

Alex Dalton, director at Daltons Wadkin, said: “We’ve been in a very fortunate position as a business to be able to grow the team recently off the back of a successful year.

“Given the current circumstances, we’re not sure how long that will last for, but we’re trying to stay as positive as possible and we came into the new year with the attitude that if the opportunity is there we’re going to grasp it with both hands. As a business, that is going to be our intention going forward.”
