Recruiter turns matchmaker for professionals with new dating business

Amy Ferris

A recruitment entrepreneur is turning matchmaker in the hope of helping East Midlands professionals find their perfect partner.

Amy Ferris, who set up Place Recruitment in 2018, has launched Love Generator, which she says is aimed at discreet professionals who are finding it hard to find a date with Covid restrictions making networking impossible.

Ferris, who has plans to eventually expands the business into London and Birmingham, said: “What I’ve found is that professionals in the East Midlands are simply too busy to find a partner. I want to take the hassle away from people by introducing them to Love Generator and, hopefully, helping them find their perfect match.”

The idea for Love Generator came during the first lockdown last year, during a quiet time for Place Recruitment. Ferris took a matchmaking course and realised that the industry was very similar to the one she’d be working in. Love Generator was born and the website was launched in the first week of January, while business is once again booming for Place Recruitment

Ferris added: “I really want to drive this forward and get a team of professional matchmakers who can help bring people together.

“Ultimately, though, Love Generator will be fun and I’ll take joy in matching people together.”
