Contractor named on £16m mixed-use scheme that could create 150 jobs

How the scheme will look

Willmott Dixon has won the contract to build a £16m leisure centre in the Nottinghamshire town on Bingham after being appointed by Rushcliffe Borough Council.

Construction Enquirer reports that the firm beat off competition from rivals Kier and Morgan Sindall to land the scheme, which also includes serviced offices and a community hall.

Planning documents submitted to Rushcliffe Borough Council said the scheme could create up to 150 jobs.

The office element will see six self-contained units in the ground floor, while on the first floor there will be a suite of offices of varying sizes.

The scheme is being developed by YMD Boon.
