A recruitment professional has secured a six-figure investment from German-based counterparts to set up a new business in Nottingham aimed at securing talent for accountancy firms.

The Big 4 has been established by Gareth Davies, who has started up the office along with Jack Roper. Davies spent five-and-a-half years with Cherry Professional where he was an associate director and delivered account for the company such as Specsavers, Experian and the University of Nottingham.

His new company will be based in city centre serviced offices Cubo, initially with a staff of two – although with big plans to grow.

Davies said: “The Big 4 will be operating exclusively in the accountancy space and focus on regional and national account and partner with professional accountancy firms for their recruitment needs.

“We have the plans and the space to grow to seven staff by the end of 2021, with 30 within five years.”
