Property deal brings new arts venue to Nottingham
Nottingham is set to get a new arts venue after a commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors brokered a deal to find new tenants for long-vacant space in the city centre.
The Hockley Music & Arts Hub is set to open at 14a Long Row. The new venture is an education centre for music, arts and digital culture. It aims to “inspire and offer new perspectives on our lives and people around us”.
The hub has a number of flexible spaces including classrooms, galleries, cinema, performance and rehearsal spaces and a fully licensed café bar, as well as an ever-changing exciting schedule of courses, screenings, talks, workshops, exhibitions, performance and more.
Vic Hunt, director of the Hockley Music & Arts Hub, said: “After a year of doom and gloom with the arts being hit more so than any other sector we are excited to be bringing a new venture to Nottingham where we can help kick start the creative industry.”
