Plans revealed for student scheme at Nottingham gateway site

How the scheme will look

Plans to build a 210-bed student accommodation scheme in Nottingham city centre have been revealed.

Crosslane and Prime Student Living have launched a public consultation to build the scheme at 5-17 Huntingdon Street, which is currently occupied by a number of different low-grade commercial buildings which are predominately vacant or on short licences.

The site, on the corner of Huntingdon Street and Alfred Street North is one of the main gateway roads into Nottingham city centre.

The proposed scheme will stretch over six storeys and include a gym, private dining facilties, a cinema, games area and study space. A private courtyard will also be built.

Crosslane hope to receive planning permission for the scheme, designed by Day Architectural, by the third quarter of the year and see the development occupied by the start of the academic year in 2023.
