Well-known business set to bloom after relocation

Sadler Gate, Derby

Quality Florists Derby, which has been established in the city centre for over 30 years, have relocated from their current Market Hall premises to 55 Sadler Gate.

William Speed of Salloway Property Consultants who represented the landlord, said he was happy to see such a well-known and locally admired business take occupation of the property.

He added: “It’s great to see a local business showing faith in the high street and hopefully this instils confidence to other potential occupiers who may be hesitant about the retail sector of the city centre. Sadler Gate is the perfect location for such a business as it benefits from excellent footfall and is historically home to a range of boutique and designer shops.”

“It just so happens that due to the redevelopment of the Market Hall, Quality Florists Derby were looking for new premises when 55 Sadler Gate came onto the market. Mary and Penny Oxspring, owners of Quality Florists Derby said, “It was perfect timing for us, having to vacate from our previous premises it just so happened that Salloway Property Consultants brought this property onto the market at the right time. We couldn’t have asked for much more.”

Speed added: “It just shows that there is still good demand for High Street retail units, it is reassuring to see that local independents are still aiming to be on the high street in Derby city centre.”
