East Midlands independent Renault Trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) says it is on track to open its fifth site next month and is still recruiting.

The new 20,000 sq ft facility is just off the A1 (at Tuxford) near Newark and will support local operators and fleets, by offering service, MOT, parts, and repairs at a new 8,000 sq ft workshop with three high bays for all makes of vehicles. The site will also provide sales support for new and used vehicles.

The manager of the new site is Chris Turner, dealer point manager, who has worked for RHCV since 2018.

He said: “We’re had some great feedback from local hauliers already and we’re looking forward to opening. But we are still recruiting for top class local technicians to support what we know will be huge demand.”

Six new roles will be created initially in Tuxford, with more to come.

RHCV has four other sites across the East Midlands – Nottingham, Alfreton, Leicester, and Northampton and had been looking for a site in the Newark area for many years.

Nigel Baxter, managing director at RHCV, said: “This new facility will allow us to give a first-class service to existing Renault Truck operators, and of course open up opportunities for new business in this area.”

RHCV has been selling, leasing, servicing, and repairing heavy (HGV) and light commercial (LCV) vehicles across the East Midlands for four decades and employs 140 staff.
