IT and software firm moves to new HQ

Burton-based commercial property agent Rushton Hickman has completed the letting of a 3,000 sq ft office building on the Granary Wharf Development in the town.

The property was formerly occupied by Corporate Travel Plus, which has suffered considerably with a downturn in business caused by the on-going travel restrictions.

IT and software firm Blue Crystal Solutions, located at Lancaster Industrial Park near Tatenhill airfield, had outgrown their present office space and needed to relocate to larger premises.

Ryan Shaw, BCS operations director, said: “We have been keen to move to larger office premises for some time, but we had difficulties finding the right property and one that had a reasonable level of car parking spaces. Luckily, we managed to agree Lease terms with Simon at Rushton Hickman and are delighted the deal was concluded quickly so we can look forward to moving into the new office space as soon as possible.”

Rushton Hickman Commercial Property agent Simon Walker negotiated the deal.

He said: “This is a good result for our client in a market where there is more competition due to a reduced demand for office space overall.”

“That said, we have just agreed a sale of the office space that BCS have vacated as a new home for an expanding care services provider.”
