Eleanor Overton

Consultant Pegasus Group has strengthened its East Midlands office with the appointment of a planning specialist.

Eleanor Overton has joined the team as an associate planner, bringing with her more than 15 years’ experience working in both the public and private sectors. She joins Pegasus Group from a Midlands local authority where she was head of planning.

She said: “I’m excited to join Pegasus Group and bring an insight and fresh perspective to the industry gained through many years as Head of Planning in an LPA where I had responsibility for a diverse range of projects.”

As well as working on major residential, commercial and mixed-use proposals, including site appraisal, housing land supply, development viability and sustainable design and within the field of planning enforcement, Overton has worked on a number of appeal cases where she has prepared evidence and appeared as an expert witness.

She has a particular interest in rural development and agricultural diversification, securing numerous consents for rural workers’ dwellings.

Jim Tarzey, Pegasus Group chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Eleanor to Pegasus Group. Her wealth of experience will be a real asset to the team, and I look forward to seeing her put her significant credentials into practice.”
