Investment firm snaps up 17,500 sq ft Derby property

A Leicestershire-based property investment company has added to its UK-wide portfolio by snapping up an industrial unit in Derby.

In a deal brokered by Salloway Property Consultants, Manston Investments, whose offices are in Ashby de la Zouch, has bought a modern building which is located on Raynesway.

The property forms part of Westside Park, built by local developer Ivygrove Developments.

The building, which is currently vacant, comprises a detached modern workshop/warehouse premises with two storey offices totalling approximately 17,500sq ft. Manston has already started looking for a tenant to occupy the building.

Hugo Beresford of Salloway, who negotiated the sale on behalf of Ivygrove and has been retained by Manston to let the building, said: “This is a high-quality industrial unit with the added bonus of an exclusive yard area. It is extremely well located with Raynesway being the link between the A52 and the A50 which in turn connect with the M1 Motorway. The market for premises of this nature is extremely buoyant and we are already receiving enquiries from potential tenants”.

“I have little doubt that this will prove to be a great addition to Manston’s commercial portfolio”.

Andrew Buckman of Manston Investments added: “Manston was delighted to be able to acquire this unit which will sit well within our portfolio. We have worked with the Salloway offices in both Burton and Derby on commercial property acquisitions, disposals and management issues, for a number of years. As ever, the process in acquiring this property was handled very professionally and we look forward to continuing our association with them”.
