Work has begun on-site on the first phase of the transformation of a site on Hucknall Road in Sherwood to build two new family homes.

The owner and developer, Hillcrest Nottingham, has secured planning permission to redevelop the two semi-detached homes, bringing forward much-needed affordable housing for Nottingham.

The site is being managed by NG Chartered Surveyors. James McArthur, director and head of property management at NG said: “Our client is working with some fantastic East Midlands companies to develop this scheme. Offering the city a range of high-quality homes for local people to enjoy is essential and we’re delighted that work has started on this important project and look forward to it coming to fruition over the coming months.”

The building contractor on the scheme is Chesterfield-based Robinson Masonry and Construction, while cost and project management services are being provided by EDGE, based in the Lace Market area of Nottingham.

Kieran O’Donoghue, director at EDGE and lead project manager said: “We are delighted to be supporting Hillcrest Nottingham on this exciting scheme and look forward to working with Robinson Masonry and Construction in delivering a successful project for our mutual client”.

Steve Robinson, director at Robinson Masonry and Construction, said: “We are looking forward to completing this great project for Hillcrest Nottingham, working with our professional partners, NG Chartered Surveyors and Edge to produce two quality three bedroom semi-detached homes, with off road parking.”
