Recruitment company enters Nottingham market after buying out city firm
A £50m recruitment firm which was only formed in April has entered the Nottingham market after buying up a local company.
The Recruitment Group, which is headed up by managing director Paul Hipkiss, has snapped up On-call Recruitment.
On-call Recruitment is based in Nottingham city centre and was originally founded in 2005 by Adrian Rawden. The firm specialises in industrial recruitment of temporary, contract and permanent staff.
This latest acquisition will add to The Recruitment Group’s existing industrial sector and become the firm’s 12th office. It intends to open a base in Hucknall for this part of the business.
Hipkiss said “I am delighted we have been able to add On-call Recruitment into the ever-growing Recruitment Group brand. On-Call have a solid reputation within Nottingham and I am really looking forward to getting involved within an area I know well whilst building on the great work Adrian and his team have done for the last 16 years.
“We have big plans to expand the team in Nottingham and will be focussing on the industrial, office and professional, technical and driving sectors, using this latest purchase as a springboard to greater market share in the Nottinghamshire area.
“I would like to thank Adrian for everything he has done to ensure this acquisition took place and for handing us a very solid business, we will be doing our level best to ensure we do him proud in the future and continue the great work he started all those years ago.”

The Recruitment Group is the result of a coming together between Champion Recruitment (Oxford, Banbury, Abingdon & Witney, Gill Cooke Personnel (Loughborough), Motion People (Leicester), Rugby Recruitment (Rugby), Professional Staffing Services (Leicester) and Next Recruitment (Birmingham).
