Mark Wilcock

Flint Bishop has appointed a new associate to its corporate and finance team in the East Midlands.

Based in the Derby office, Mark Wilcock joins the firm having previously spent over 10 years as a solicitor with Smith Partnership. He specialises in corporate transactions advising a range of organisations from owner-managed to international companies and listed PLCs.

He has considerable experience on a wide range of corporate matters including acquisitions and disposals of businesses and companies, management buy-in and buy-outs, share buybacks, complex restructuring and shareholder/investment agreements.

Wilcock said: “I am delighted to be joining Flint Bishop. The chance to join such an experienced and established corporate team was simply too good an opportunity to miss.

“The firm has an impressive and well-established client base across a variety of sectors, and I am excited to be a part of their growth plans for the future.”

Leicester-based marketing agency, Rock Kitchen Harris (RKH), has launched a planning and strategy team to increase its offering to clients.

The new strategy team is headed up by experienced planner and strategist, Debbie Preston, and supported by former account manager, Katie Westwood and user researcher, Alanta Lee.

Jamie Mollart, client services and strategy director, said: “Strategy has always been part of what we offer at RKH, but not in a formalised Account Planning function. During lockdown, I spent a lot of time engaging with APG, a not for profit organisation for planners and strategists, working out how RKH could provide a more structured approach to planning to help solve business problems and transform our clients’ brands. From these discussions, our new team was formed and our clients are already seeing a benefit.”

He added:“Debbie is an incredibly experienced strategist and Katie is full of drive and enthusiasm for the discipline. It’s their role to act as the voice of the consumer within the agency and ensure that we always think about the end customer in everything we do. Through desk research, qualitative and quantitative primary research, stakeholder engagement and more, they will search for insights into real human truths and then filter those insights into creative briefs.

“Katie and Debbie make a great team and have already been instrumental in a number of new client wins, but also in enhancing the service we provide to existing clients. They’ve firmly put strategy at the heart of everything we do and that’s how it should be. I look forward to watching them grow this new department over the coming years.”
