Engineering consultancy Rodgers Leask is expanding by opening its fourth UK office in Nottingham.

The firm – which was first established in a single office in Derby in 1984 and now offers structural, civil, geo-environmental and transport planning services – is preparing to open the new office later this month (October).

The office in Nottingham’s Lace Market will join the firm’s branches in Derby, Birmingham and Bristol, and will be led by divisional director Chris Pollett and associate director Peter Sparham.

Pollett, who will lead the office’s structural engineering element, said: “This is a great opportunity to continue to grow the business and expand further, building on the great work done by Rodgers Leask’s other offices across the UK.

“The Midlands is where the company was born and it’s a chance to not only better support our existing clients in the region but grow the company by reaching new clients. I’m delighted to be heading up the new office and can’t wait to get started.”

Civil engineer Sparham added: “The expansion is part of a plan to grow the business sustainably, and with our existing client business in the East Midlands area it seemed right to open an office in Nottingham. The business has been very resilient over the last 18 months so this is a great time to push the company forward.”

Rodgers Leask managing director Paul Spencer said: “Over the last forty years, we’ve had great success working on big projects across the UK, and we want to continue on the success by further expanding our footprint by opening in Nottingham.

“We’re keen to hire locally which will help bring a personalised touch to our team as well as our usual commitment to excellence for all our clients.”

The firm now employs around 75 people.
