Land up for sale after successful planning appeal

Indicative plans for the site in Lincolnshire

The Strategic Land Group (SLG) is set to sell a piece of land in Kirton in Lindsey after securing outline planning permission for 79 new homes on the site.

Permission for the scheme was granted after SLG’s initial planning application was refused at committee by councillors – despite being recommended for approval by officers. SLG launched an appeal and permission was granted with a full award of costs made against the council.

Paul Smith, managing director of SLG, said: “This is a fantastic site that is well-located and will enhance the existing local community – we expect to see a lot of interest from housebuilders.”

He continued: “We know that North Lincolnshire Council only has enough homes in the pipeline for the next four years, so it’s positive to see permission granted for a sizeable number of properties to help to close that gap. It also provides the homes that people want, supporting the post-pandemic shift away from urban locations in favour of quieter, more rural settings.

Mather Jamie has been appointed sole agent for the site.
