A Nottingham restaurant which has a menu made up of entirely plant-based dishes is set to open on Castle Boulevard in the city.

The 13th Element concept was initially trialled at Nottingham Street Food Club and then taken over the kitchen at The Golden Fleece on Mansfield Road. Now, it has taken a permanent lease at 101 Castle Boulevard.

Liam Russell, who owns the vegan restaurant, said: ““It is great to be almost ready to open our doors to dining guests although we have been serving our customers on Deliveroo and Uber Eats for some time. Working with Jack on Castle Boulevard was a pleasure and we look forward to working with FHP on any future projects as we continue to grow the business.”

Jack Shakespeare of FHP Property Consultants, who brokered the deal for 13th Element to move to the new premises, said: “It is great to see an independent business originally take space in the Street Food Club which is another one of my projects alongside Nathaniel Wilson which brought independent food traders into Victoria Centre over two years ago and has gone from strength to strength. To see a business succeed there and go on to acquire a stand alone restaurant is truly inspiring and I look forward to finally being able to eat in 101 Castle Boulevard as Liam’s creativity with a full plant-based vegan menu is outstanding and I would say the best in class.”
