People: Wren flies in to tech firm; Housebuilder promotes sales manager

Sarah Wren

B2B technology solutions provider Jigsaw24 has appointed Sarah Wren, the former senior HR business partner and project lead at Hillarys, as its head of HR.

A Nottingham Trent University graduate, Wren began her career with Welcome Financial Services before moving to Experian working in the HR team where she held a variety of roles from recruitment consultant to employee relations advisor.

This was followed by a position at Marley Eternit, a roofing specialist, where she provided HR and employee relations support to over 800 staff.

At Hillarys, Wren worked closely with the senior management and director group on all aspects of HR from recruitment, onboarding, organisational design, employee relations and engagements.

She said “I am really excited to have joined Jigsaw24 at a time of growth and I am very much looking forward to leading the HR team and supporting the wider people agenda across the company.

“It’s great to be involved with a company who are so progressive and want all their employees to meet their full potential.”

Laura Thomas

Vistry Group has announced a new senior appointment within the sales department of its East Midlands division.

Laura Thomas has been promoted to the role of sales manager, based at the housebuilder’s divisional office in Peterborough, after joining the company in March 2020 as a part-time sales consultant.

Her role includes the management of two sites in Cambridgeshire – Pemberton Park in Witchford by Bovis Homes, and Laithwaite Gardens in Sutton by Linden Homes. Both housebuilders are part of the Vistry Group, which also includes Vistry Partnerships.

Thomas has worked in the construction industry since 2003, and previously had two years’ experience as a sales manager for Stamford Homes – which later became part of Linden Homes.

She said: “I’m delighted to have been promoted to sales manager and am looking forward to taking on the greater responsibility that comes with a managerial role.

“Looking forward, I want to significantly contribute to the division, particularly by ensuring that all of the sales staff receive the best training and guidance possible, as well as hitting our year-end targets and making sure that our customers complete on time.”
