Property deal set to create jobs at new beauty business

A new beauty salon is set to create jobs in Burton after a property deal brokered by Rushton Hickman.

Beau Beauty & Aesthetics, will open on Station Street, in a unit formerly occupied by GI Group Recruitment.

Joint owners/managers, Laura and Lauren Ball, have worked in the Burton area for several years and have built up an established base of clients. They are planning to invest in the HydraFacial step machine as part of the treatments on offer.

The unit has been fully refurbished with four treatment rooms and an area for manicure & pedicure stations. The pair are currently hiring for nail technicians and therapists.

Laura Ball said: “Between us we have 34 years’ experience working within the beauty industry. Since leaving school, we have worked in salons in Burton, spas and further afield – cruise ships and teaching beauty.”

“We both do our CPD continuously throughout the year to make sure our skills are regularly updated. Keeping up to date with current brands and treatments is very important to us, as we can provide professional quality treatments all under one roof. We both know our A&P inside and out, the knowledge we have for treatments are second to none.”

She added “We chose the location for the salon as it in Burton town centre and the position is highly visible. It is has plenty of car parking to the rear – free after 3pm – close to bus stops and Burton train station.”

Rushton Hickman commercial agent, Simon Walker, saidL “I met Laura and Lauren at another property that just wasn’t right for them. Once I understood their brief, I immediately contacted them as soon as I knew that Unit 5 Britannia House was coming to the market, as I could see the potential for them. We agreed lease terms quickly after viewing the property. This is a great result for all parties involved and shows that new businesses have the confidence that Burton town centre is the right place to be.”

Rushton Hickman director, Graham Bancroft, added: “The letting of Unit 5 to Laura and Lauren continues our recent success in the town centre and once again showing that the retail market is anything but dead. The use will fit the property well and bring variety to the area and we wish them all the best in their new venture.”
