Food packaging firm hungry for growth with new £2.8m warehouse

How the new warehouse will look

Catering24, the firm which supplies food packaging and catering supplies is to move into a new 27,000 sq ft warehouse in Ilkeston after doubling in size.

The firm has agreed a lease with Clowes Developments for the development of the warehouse and distribution facility at Etiquette Park located off the existing Manners Road Industrial Estate in Ilkeston. The deal marks significant expansion for the food packaging distributor which has double its turnover in the past 18 months.

Catering24 has the option to buy the £2.8m property within the first two years which it says it ais to do.

A planning application has now been approved by Erewash Borough Council and work is expected to start on site within the next couple of weeks.

Clowes Developments have instructed TanRo to build the warehouse. The firm’s CEO Steve Lloyd said: “I have been very impressed with the team at Catering24, we have totally restructured the business in 2020 due to the pandemic, staff have adapted well to new ways of working, software system and alternative working hours to satisfy online consumer purchasing needs, Etiquette Park will be a welcome facility to achieve even more levels of customer service which we look forward to announce in the 2022.”
