Plans revealed for 235,100 sq ft office scheme

How the second phase could look - next to Phase 1

Peveril Securities and its joint venture partner Sladen Estates have revealed plans for the second phase of its Unity Square scheme in Nottingham city centre.

The move follows a outline Environmental Impact Assessment application for almost 235,100 sq ft of office space across 13 storeys which was given the go-ahead in January 2019.

HMRC is set to move into the first phase of the scheme later this year.

A document seen by TheBusinessDesk.com reads: “The intention of the applicant, Peveril Securities, remains to move forward with a commercial development for phase 2 of Unity Square. Upon approval of the reserved matters Peveril (with its joint venture partner, Sladen Estates) will continue to seek occupiers for the phase 2 office scheme to compliment phase 1 (which will be occupied shortly by HMRC).

“The submission of reserved matters in accordance with the deadline set out in the hybrid consent will therefore allow the consent for phase 2 to remain live, following which there will be submissions of the pre-commencement conditions.

“During this period Peveril/Sladen would endeavour to attract occupiers for what will be a significant office development adjacent to HMRC. The granting of reserved matters consent will provide additional momentum to the marketing of the phase 2 site.”

Unity 2, as it is being called, will be designed by 5Plus, the same architect which worked on the first phase of the scheme.
