Packaging firm calls in administrators

Extrupol's Louth base

A Lincolnshire packaging firm which was formed back in the 1980s has called in administrators.

Extrupol Packaging, based in Louth, appointed CRG Insolvency & Financial Recovery of Grimsby on May 4.

In its last filed accounts for the year-ending Match 31 2021, Extrupol Packaging employed 14 people from its base on the Fairfield Industrial Estate.

The company manufactured products including polythene bags, sheets, and rolls, bubble wrap, pallet stretch wrap and adhesive tapes.

Extrupol’s website is currently down and its Facebook page unavailable.

In April 2020, Extrupol secured a £50,000 loan from Finance for Enterprise after seen demand for its products increase threefold to help the UK’s battle against coronavirus.
