Accountancy firm to move into 12,500 sq ft office on Pride Park

Prospect House

Accountancy and advisory firm PKF Smith Cooper is set to move into 12,500 sq ft Grade A offices on Pride Park in Derby, leaving its historic city centre base at St Helen’s House.

The new premises, at Prospect House, offer an open plan working space spread over three floors, together with leisure facilities such as break out rooms and a gym for team members and clients. Renovations and fit out of the space started this spring, with employees expected to move in during September.

David Nelson, senior partner at PKF Smith Cooper, said: “Our continued growth has led to a significant increase in team numbers and, as a result, we required new premises to provide the flexible and collaborative working space our teams need to continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

“Despite flexible working becoming an increasing feature of our marketplace, we believe a tangible presence in our key locations remains essential and the move to Prospect House shows our commitment to both the region and Derby as a city, which has been the firm’s base since its incorporation in 1985.”

James Bagley, managing partner at PKF Smith Cooper, said: “Last year we made a significant decision when we joined the PKF International network. This year we plan to keep that momentum going and moving our Derby team into new and improved accommodation is the next stage in our strategic plan, as we continue to build our regional and national reputation as accountants and business advisors to ambitious businesses.”
