The Grayling Midlands Sport Power 50 – we fire the starting gun

We are excited to be launching The Grayling Midlands Sport Power 50 in association with TheBusinessDesk next week. As we look ahead to a once in a lifetime summer of sport, we wanted to celebrate the 50 powerbrokers driving the business of sport forward in the region.

Sport and physical activity contribute £39 billion to the UK economy each year (Sport England) and the Midlands boasts an embarrassment of riches when it comes to elite sport. As well as hosting the largest multi-sport event in the UK since 2012, the Midlands includes some of the most successful sporting businesses that deliver economic benefits and jobs across the region.

Starting on Monday we will publish the first ten names from our power list, releasing another ten names each day until the top ten on Friday. We thoroughly enjoyed pulling the list together and hope that it creates conversation and even controversy.
