Derbyshire CCC’s Incora County Ground is set to receive a major revamp.

Matthew Montague Architects, of Longford near Ashbourne, will work in partnership with the Club to design new and improved facilities for the cricket ground.

An application to carry out the work is expected to be submitted before the end of July.

The precise nature of the improvements is yet to be revealed.

Established in 1998, Montague Montague Architects has worked with clients including Repton School, Persimmon Homes and The University of Derby.

Matthew Montague, who founded the architectural practice, said: “The cricket club are committed to improving the on-site customer experience, we have a defined brief and are hoping to include a little design flair into the new buildings.”

A spokesperson for Derbyshire CCC added: “We are committed to improving the facilities for all and Matthew Montague Architects seems a good fit for what we wanted to achieve, we are looking forward to working with them.”
