New bar and restaurant bowls into West Bridgford

A new hospitality venue is set to open in a prime Nottingham sporting location following a commercial property deal advised on by law firm, Nelsons.

The William Gunn, named after the famous cricketer, footballer and co-founder of renowned cricket brand Gunn and Moore, will be a pub, bar and restaurant in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

The new venue will be on Radcliffe Road, between the City Ground, home to the newly-promoted Nottingham Forest, and the Trent Bridge cricket ground.

At the helm of the venture are Tom Holodynsky and Owen Roach, the pair behind sports bar Southbank City in Nottingham’s city centre.

Holodynsk said: “One of the things we’re most excited about is the location. The fact that it is between two of Nottingham’s great sporting grounds means it can become a hub for Nottingham’s sporting community, where they can come to celebrate the wins and likewise get over any losses.

“As well as the sporting community, we also look forward to being able to welcome residents of Nottingham, West Bridgford and Lady Bay to enjoy a bite to eat and a drink in this great city.”

Nelsons acted on behalf of the tenant to finalise the lease agreement with its new landlords, L&C Investment.

Liam Wilkinson, senior associate and solicitor at Nelsons, said: “I’m very pleased to see the deal get finalised. I think this location is going to be one that will stand out to locals and visitors alike.

“It has been a pleasure working with Tom and Owen as they open another venue in Nottingham and we wish them all the best with this exciting new chapter.”

Holodynsk added: “Working with Nelsons made the process swift and straightforward which has been greatly appreciated and we cannot thank them enough. We can’t wait to open the doors to the venue and truly homage William Gunn.”
