Overbury ready to kick it at Hot Property 2022

Penelope Mitchell

As the biggest names in construction and property gear up for the highlight of the calendar year, we speak to Penelope Mitchell, business development manager at fit out specialist Overbury, to find out why Nottingham Hot Property is a key date in her diary. The annual fundraiser is attended by a variety of industry professionals and displays the best talent in the sector to raise essential support for children’s charities across the Midlands.

What are you most looking forward to about NHP 2022?

We are really looking forward to seeing our industry colleagues again and raising funds for an important local charity. It’s also great to see the range of colourful outfits and acts performing every year.

We are excited to be taking part in this year’s event, with Chris Mellor taking to the Hot Property stage on behalf of our team for the third time! He’s a pro at this point.

Why did you decide to sponsor NHP?

We sponsored last year’s event, and we were keen to get involved again this year as it’s such a positive occasion within the industry. From our perspective, it’s a fantastic opportunity to be involved with local events and charities, especially as we are currently doing lots of work in the Nottingham area.

What do you think of this year’s theme?

This year’s theme is great, I love football. I think that after the recent success of the Lionesses, it means women can be just as excited for this year’s event as men.

I also think that Nottingham Forest being promoted recently really makes it more special for Nottingham too.

How has the last year been for you?

The last year has been really positive for Overbury, we have seen our team grow and have some great new projects in both the East and West Midlands.

Overbury is a nationwide office fit out and refurbishment specialists, delivering high quality design and transparent, collaborative projects across offices and higher education sectors. The team prides themselves on using cutting-edge innovation and technology that leaves a low environmental impact. Their projects span a range of clients, from the BBC to The University of Warwick.

The sponsors for this year’s event include Pagabo and Pulse Consult as headline sponsors as well as Overbury, CPMG, DL Design Studio, Faithful+Gould, Inspired Villages, Chord Consult, Samclo, Selcon and Shakespeare Martineu/Marrons Planning. Joining these are: PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency RizkMcCayTribe, design and print agency Ginger Root and the event’s media partner TheBusinessDesk.com.
