Frasers reveals plans for new global HQ

Impression of the proposed campus

Frasers Group has revealed plans to create a “world-class” global headquarters campus in Ansty, Warwickshire.

It remains unclear what the plans would mean for the retail giant’s current HQ in Shirebrook.

However, a spokesperson for Frasers told TheBusinessDesk.com that “no decisions have been made regarding the wider FG estate”, raising the possibility that the Derbyshire site could be under review.

Designs for Frasers’ Warwickshire HQ have been produced by Grimshaw, the architects behind the Eden Project and the Elizabeth Line. The campus would include logistics facilities, offices, leisure facilities and a hotel, plus a swimming pool, a gym and bookable pitches which would be open to the public.

The company says it intends to submit a planning application to Rugby Borough Council “in the coming months” following a public consultation.

A spokesperson for Frasers said: “To accelerate the business’ growth and support our future, we have explored options for a potential new site. This new location would provide the Group with a well-located, world-class platform to further deliver our successful elevation strategy. The proposals for the new site, remain subject to a planning process.”
