New mixed-use scheme gets underway in Leicestershire village

Work has begun on a new mixed-use development in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, comprising of nine Georgian-style homes and two office units.

The scheme is being delivered by GS Developments in partnership with chartered quantity surveying and property management specialists Addison Hunt.

It has been designed by architects rg+p and will be marketed by Newtown Living.

Located on Granite Way, the 2.5-storey homes will feature warm red multi-brick with a light stone appearance and sash windows.

The office units, sized 680 sq ft and 700 sq ft respectively, will include similar materials but with a contemporary look and feel.

Simon Collin, director at Addison Hunt, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to work on this project. The development of the site will provide a much more positive outlook and sense of arrival as passers-by travel through Mountsorrel.

“We look forward to work progressing and bringing a new mixed-use development to the area, which has been designed to fit in with the current surroundings.”
