Software firm takes 10,000 sq ft office in Nottingham city centre

Software company 4G Clinical has expanded its Nottingham operation with a move to larger offices in an off-market deal brokered by commercial property agents Innes England and Bishop Property Consultants.

The US-owned clinical trial company has moved its team to the city centre, taking 10,000 sq ft at City Buildings on Carrington Street.

4G Clinical, which employs more than 400 people across 12 offices worldwide, has moved from its previous base near Jubilee Campus, close to University Park.

Craig Straw, Innes England director, said: “4G Clinical was looking to move to the city centre and expand its Nottingham presence. The supply of good quality office space was very restricted but, using our market knowledge, we were able to identify a 10,000 sq ft off-market option which fitted the company’s brief perfectly.

“City Buildings is in an excellent location – and had been refurbished to a very high standard. 4G Clinical has experienced rapid growth over a relatively short period of time and this new base will allow for expansion. The company wanted to move to a site nearer the city centre to enable it to support those growth aspirations.”

Jon Sendall, of 4G Clinical, said: “Craig perfectly understood our brief and secured us this superb off-market property. The office provides a flexible hub for our UK operations and is ideally located close to city centre amenities and public transport links. This creates a more appealing location for our staff to work from and offers excellent sustainable travel options.”

Innes England worked with Bishop Property Consultants – which represents the current tenant – to arrange a sub-lease.

Director Jonathan Bishop said: “My client’s space provides excellent, open-plan office accommodation and was always going to be let quickly. I am sure that the team will enjoy its new surroundings as the company continues on its successful streak.”
