Asian-inspired restaurant brand to create 20 jobs in Nottingham

20 jobs will be created when Asian-inspired restaurant brand itsu opens at Nottingham’s Victoria Centre later this month, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

The chain is due to open its doors at the shopping centre on Friday 20 January.

As we reported last month, itsu’s franchise party for the Midlands, the Savvi Dining Group, will operate the venue in the Clocktower Dining Quarter.

The restaurant will offer hot noodle and rice bowls, fresh sushi and salads, steamed gyoza and bao buns.

Neil Miller, chief customer officer at itsu, said: “We’re looking forward to bringing our nutritious menu to the people of Nottingham. Opening in Victoria Centre represents the next step in our ‘eat beautiful’ journey, bringing healthy, affordable food to more people in more places across the UK.”

itsu joins the likes of Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Tortilla and Krispy Kreme at the Victoria Centre.

Centre director Nigel Wheatley said: “We’ve worked hard to provide customers with real choice when it comes to our food and drink offering  in the Clocktower dining area and we’re delighted itsu has decided to become a part of that mix.

“This will be the first itsu store to open in Nottinghamshire and only its second in the Midlands. The brand focuses on ‘health and happiness’ dishes, which is the perfect sentiment for the first new brand to open in Victoria Centre in 2023.”
