Former Accenture MD joins Derby cloud provider

Hannah Birch

Derby-based cloud provider Node4 has appointed former Accenture boss Hannah Birch as managing director of its digital business.

Birch, who also becomes a group board member, has been tasked with strengthening the firm’s strategic relationship with Microsoft, leveraging recent investments and driving client value by integrating acquisitions such as risual, TNP and Tisski.

Birch spent eleven years at Accenture, where she led the company’s UK technology business for insurance and was a member of the technology leadership team for the UK & Ireland.

She began her career at BP and later held leadership positions at Fujitsu Services UK and Computacenter.

She said: “In a world of unprecedented technological advancements, many organisations still struggle to cut through the noise to identify the technology solutions that are right for them. This has increased the pressure on service providers to be trusted partners for clients, guiding and streamlining the transformation process.

“I am so excited to join Node4, one of the few service providers that meets organisations at an inflection point where they are looking to leverage technology to drive transformational change to their business. The group capabilities, strengthened with that of the recent acquisitions, makes us a one stop shop for our clients.

“In my new role, I look forward to working with the Node4 leadership team as we continue to show our clients what is possible with technology and help accelerate Node4’s growth ambition in the years ahead.”

Andrew Gilbert, founder and CEO of Node4, said: “Hannah understands how to drive transformational growth strategies, creating deeper value-based relationships with clients.

“With our recent acquisitions and the broadening of our partnership with Microsoft, Hannah is the right person to lead the integration of our Digital Team and continue to build on our reputation as a technology leader in this space.”
