Trio of jewellery brands set to expand at Derbion

Beaverbrooks is upsizing its outlet at Derbion

Three well-known jewellers are set to extend their footprint at Derbion later this year.

Beaverbrooks’ outlet at the Derby shopping centre will undergo a full refurbishment and upsize this spring, increasing in size to 2,350 sq ft to incorporate a new TAG Heuer watch boutique and a dedicated Gucci area.

Goldsmiths will also be expanding its premises at the centre, with work to extend the space by 1,000 sq ft set to begin in May. The revamp will allow the company to offer a wider range of big-name brands.

Meanwhile, Ernest Jones is also investing in its Derbion store with a refreshed design and a host of new brands including Breitling, Omega and Tudor.

The news comes after Derbion completed 28 lettings in 12 months, welcoming tenants including Jack Wills, Søstrene Grene, Popeyes, Burger & Sauce and Frasers.

Beth McDonald, commercial director at Derbion, said: “After such a successful year for lettings at Derbion, we’re delighted to announce that three of the leading names in retail jewellery have chosen to invest in their existing stores with us.

“We’re proud that so many of our retailers are showing such confidence in the centre, as well as Derby, by investing and expanding their stores.”
