Crunch time for new West Bridgford restaurant

A Nottinghamshire fast food restaurant and takeaway that claims to provided an alternative to “diet boredom” and unhealthy eating is on track to open its second site – this time in West Bridgford.

Founded by local entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast Andreas Zacharia in Mansfield in 2017, Crunch Food UK has built up a loyal customer base, as well as securing a catering contract to provide Mansfield Town FC’s team with meals on match days.

Law firm Banner Jones’ commercial property team advised Crunch on the acquisition of the 828 sq ft outlet on Melton Road.

Zacharia said: “We are extremely excited to be opening a new site in West Bridgford following the success of our first fast food outlet in Mansfield.

“As three fitness fans ourselves we always knew there was a market and real demand for somewhere that sold fast, filling, tasty, clean food that could be eaten every day without guilt, and where there was plenty of variety to prevent ‘diet boredom’.

“Given that we are all originally from Nottinghamshire, and that two of us are living and raising our families here in West Bridgford, it seemed like an obvious choice for our second venture.

“We are very much looking forward to opening up on our home turf, and very grateful to the Banner Jones team for their support and advice in the acquisition of our new premises.”

Zacharia added that he and his business partners, Nick Procopiou and Theo Tsiolas, have plans to open further outlets, both across Nottinghamshire and further afield.

Matthew Maiden, head of the commercial department at Banner Jones’ Mansfield office, said: “Crunch has established a really impressive and loyal customer base since it opened its doors in 2017, so it’s great to see the team now expanding across the region in order to bring its healthy, fast-food menu to more people.

“We’re delighted to have supported them with the acquisition of the new site, and we wish them all the best in their new venture.”
