The companies will carry out work across the entire justice sector, including courts, prisons and the Home Office.

Henry Brothers been appointed on two lots in Framework B, which involves projects worth between £5m and £10m in Central England, Wales and the North, and is also one of eight contractors appointed to Framework C, which covers national construction schemes valued between £10m and £30m.

Frameworks B and C will both run for five years and are worth £750m and £625m respectively.

Ian Taylor, managing director of Henry Brothers Construction, said: “Being appointed to the Ministry of Justice Framework for the first time is excellent news for Henry Brothers. Henry Group has a long history of working in the justice sector, and more recently delivered a new £50m prison Block at HMP Maghaberry.”

“We are excited to have been appointed on both the national and regional frameworks, which will give us an extensive pipeline of opportunities”, added Taylor.

“We look forward to partnering with the organisations under the MoJ Framework to support future construction projects in the justice sector.”

Bowmer + Kirkland will carry out a host of projects across the UK for the MoJ. The company was also recently appointed to the The Crown Commercial Services Offsite Framework.

Chris Arno, main board director responsible for Frameworks at the Belper firm, said: “Once again our success is down to the hard work of many people. We have proved our worth as a successful framework contractor through our work with the Department for Education. Bowmer + Kirkland is now well established as a public sector contractor alongside our extensive experience for private clients.”
