PE investor boosts portfolio with swoop for fit-out business

Private equity investor Nene Capital has snapped up Essex-based interior fit-out company Woodland Corporate Interiors for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is the first acquisition of the year for Northamptonshire-based Nene’s long hold portfolio.

Based in Harlow, Woodland Corporate Interiors delivers specialist corporate interior work for large institutional landlords in Greater London and the Home Counties, from office refit and light industrial work to education projects and luxury homes.

The firm’s management team will remain in place for the foreseeable future as part of a structured handover.

Howes Percival advised Nene on the deal.

Miles Barnes, senior associate in the Corporate, Commercial and Banking team at Howes Percival, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to advise Nene Capital on this transaction. Having worked with the Nene Capital team on this portfolio since its inception it’s been great to see the growth they’ve achieved so far and we look forward to working with them again as they continue with their acquisition strategy.”
