NG to donate childrenswear to those who need it most

NG Chartered Surveyors has turned the demise of an East Midlands firm into a positive – with hundreds of children set to benefit.

NG is jointly marketing Pod 4 at Evo Park on Sherwood Business Park in Nottinghamshire with FHP Property Consultants on behalf of a private landlord client after the previous tenant, which operated in the childrenswear sector, went into liquidation.

NG was instructed by its client to clear the unit of stock. Rather than sending it to landfill or to be recycled, NG has been working with Children’s Air Ambulance to remove some 2.5 tonnes of stock, with the aim of donating the items of clothing to those that need it most. Some has gone into the local stores and majority of it has been sent over to Ukraine.

Alicia Lewis of NG Chartered Surveyors said: “When we were instructed to start marketing Pod 4 we were struck by the sheer amount of stock left in the unit.

“We’ve all seen the harrowing images of children who have had their lives destroyed by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and so we wanted to make sure the clothes were put to use.

“We’re making multiple visits to the unit with Children’s Air Ambulance to recover the stock and ensure it ends up in the hands of those who need it most and we’d like to thank our landlord client for being so flexible and understanding throughout the whole process.”

Pod 4 on Evo Park is a Grade A office and warehouse space available of up to 12,488 sq ft.
