Big Fang takes a bite out of Nottingham

An indoor golf centre operator has confirmed that it is to open its latest venue in Nottingham.

The Big Fang Collective will open a Golf Fang centre on Daleside Road. TheBusinessDesk.com first reported on the move in March.

The new centre will open on the 23,000 sq ft site of the former Almor factory. Almor went bust last July, with the loss of 78 jobs.

The Big Fang Collective was founded by Kip Piper and Daniel Bolger, who opened their first site in Liverpool in 2016 inside the 25,000 square-foot Cains Brewery.

Each Golf Fang venue offers an adult only 18-hole crazy golf experience, combined with themed cocktails and DJs in a “sprayground” environment. Each site features course sets that are location specific alongside work from selected graffiti artists. The brand’s goal is to create a unique set of courses that provide guests with an experience that both inspires and positions graffiti as an art form.

The company now owns and operates across six cities in the UK, including Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow and Cardiff. Golf Fang Nottingham will be its seventh location following a launch in Cardiff. The Big Fang Collective now has plans to expand further across the UK, with six already planned to launch before 2025.

Kip Piper, co-founder of The Big Fang Collective, said: “We are really excited to grow the Golf Fang brand and to be bringing the experience to the East Midlands. Nottingham is a great location for the newest Golf Fang and we love the energy and atmosphere the city has to offer. The venue will feature some of our most popular experiential elements and we can’t wait to see how the guests interact with the graffiti-led space.”

The venue will be open seven days per week from midday till late, with bookings and walk-ins both accepted.
