Engineering consultancy names new MD as firm achieves ISO landmarks
Nottingham-based consulting structural and civil engineering firm Tunstall Smith King (TSK) is on the lookout for bigger offices after appointing a new managing director.
TSK has named Peter Smith as its new MD, after the firm passed audits for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 – standards which set out the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
Natalia Golebiowska, operations manager, said: “We are thrilled to announce we achieved ISO 9001 & 14001 certifications with zero non-conformities, depicting our devotion to quality assurance and sustainability.
“We recognised this process as an opportunity to strengthen our procedures, standardise operational practices, and place emphasis on an exceptional client experience. The achievement of these standards is only the beginning. We are focused on continually reinforcing, monitoring, and improving our systems and consequently advancing and expanding our business.”
“Achieving the ISO certifications is a key building block in our business growth aspirations,” said Steve King, director.
He added: “We are pleased to reveal that Peter Smith has been appointed as managing director, in order to help drive forward those aspirations. The team would like to thank him for his commitment to the business and his emphasis on maintaining a high level of client and employee satisfaction. Both Peter and Natalia played a pivotal role in the implementation of our new systems, and we couldn’t have achieved these certifications without them.”
Smith said: “I am over the moon that my co-directors Garry [Tunstall] and Steve [King] have shown their confidence in me by asking me to take on the role of MD.
“We are all really excited about the next phase of growth at TSK. We have outgrown our offices at Stoney Street and are actively looking for new, larger premises in the Lace Market. We are also looking for talented engineers and technicians to expand our team.”
