Roxy Leisure set to open third Nottingham venue

Roxy Leisure, the firm behind the successful Roxy Ball Room concept, looks set to open a third Nottingham venue.

TheBusinessDesk.com understand that Roxy Leisure wants to open one of its Roxy Lanes venues in The Pod complex in Nottingham city centre.

Roxy Lanes offers bowling, pool shuffleboard, beer pong, a batting cage, duck pin bowling along with a bar and food.

According to documents seen by TheBusinessDesk.com, Roxy Lanes would open at 10am and close at 1.30am, seven days a a week.

Roxy Leisure was founded in 2013 by Leeds-based Matt and Ben Jones and already has two Roxy Ball Room outlets in the city, on Thurland Street and in the Cornerhouse leisure complex.

Roxy Leisure also operates bars in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and its home city of Leeds, with a further venue opening in Cheltenham in September. Its venues offer a heady combination of music, food, booze and ball games which “bring the playground to the bar.”

The company opened its first Nottingham venue on Thurland Street in 2017. Private equity investor Foresight Group backed the firm to the tune of £7.5m in 2020 and a second Nottingham site – a 21,000 sq ft venue at The Cornerhouse – soon followed.
