Leeds-based group Escapism Bars has revealed plans to expand into Nottingham.

Founded in 2004 by Phil and Mel Harrison, Escapism Bars focuses on “fun and fiery” party spaces in city centres. It is currently unclear where in the city it plans to open its Nottingham venue.

The company operates seven branded bars across Leeds and Liverpool and has recently announced plans to open in Manchester’s Oldham Street next month, where it will launch under The Mean Eyed Cat and Tiki Hideaway brands

The company’sbars are aimed at students, after-work drinkers and late-night party seekers.

According to Escapism’s website, its bars are “spaces that are a little bit crazy and a lot of fun, [providing] some great alternatives to the bars that perhaps play it a little bit safe.”
