New manufacturing toolkit introduced to help SMEs cut energy costs

The High Value Manufacturing Catapult has introduced the Manufacturing Energy Toolkit.

This new toolkit aims to assist UK manufacturing SMEs in reducing energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Nottingham-based Pressac have partnered with HVM Catapult, offering the toolkit to SME’s at no extra cost to the business.

It involves an assessment by HVM Catapult experts, who visit SME production sites to identify energy inefficiencies and suggest energy-saving solutions.

In a regional survey, resulted showed SMEs saved between 12% and 46% on their energy costs, with an average savings of 21%, and even achieving a 90% energy saving in one case.

That’s why the HVM Catapult is offering free support to help manufacturers become more efficient – both environmentally and financially.
