Scientific digital imagery company acquires Derbyshire firm

SDI Group, a company focused on designing and manufacturing products in the fields of digital imaging, sensors, and control, has completed the acquisition of Peak Sensors Holdings, a manufacturer of temperature sensors, in a £2.4m deal.

Located in Chesterfield, Park Sensors operates from a 5,300 sq ft leasehold facility and employs around 14 people.

They produce both standard and custom thermocouples and resistance thermometers used in various industries such as glass, ceramics, incinerators, cement, and ovens

Their revenue for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2023, amounted to £2.1m, with an EBIT of approximately £330,000.

Peak Sensors will become a part of SDI Group’s Sensors and Controls division.
